Scholarship Information
The Ladies Library Association of Kalamazoo was established
in 1852. Today we provide financial
assistance to college bound
students in the Kalamazoo area in the form of academic scholarships.
Our mission is to encourage high school seniors or graduates of
any
age, who
are permanent Kalamazoo
County
residents
and
US citizens, to seek higher education in the State of Michigan.
Selection Criteria

Applicant must be a high school senior or graduate
of any age.

Applicant must present evidence of financial need.

Applicant
must present evidence of academic aptitude or accomplishment.

Applicant
should present detailed plans that indicate a reasonable
likelihood of achieving academic/vocational goals.

Relatives of members are
NOT eligible.

February 15, 2008
Scholarship Description
-
Financial awards generally range from $1,000
to $2,500 – the amount to be determined by funds available
and the needs/plans of the applicant. The scholarship award
will be paid directly to the Michigan college the applicant
plans to attend.

This scholarship may be renewed at
the discretion of the committee. If interested, the applicant
MUST reapply.
